Speech Therapy (ST)
Speech Therapists help clients identify and overcome the challenges associated with communication and/or swallowing disorders. Treatment is commonly given for disorders of articulation, fluency, voice, language, cognition (reasoning and thinking), dysphagia, and aphasia. ST is usually recommended for clients with deficits resulting from developmental delays, post stroke recovery, stuttering, language disorders, voice disorders, difficulty swallowing, hearing disorders and vestibular dysfunction.
